Swedish Massage

The therapist uses a combination of Swedish techniques with gentle-firm pressure in long, flowing movements to help you reach your wellness goals. This treatment is great for everyday aches/pains and stress management.

  • boosting the immune system's performance

  • decreasing stress and unnecessary muscle tone or tension

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage

The Massage Therapist will start the treatment with lighter pressure Swedish techniques to warm the tissue then progresses to a deeper more specific pressure with the use of forearms, knuckles and/or elbows.  Deep tissue massage may also incorporate a variety of passive or active stretching to help correct and lengthen the soft tissues.  Deep tissue massage is designed to treat the deeper layers of muscle and fascia to help obtain more focused treatment goals such as decreasing chronic muscle pain or rehabilitating soft tissue injury. 

Indie Head Massage

Indie Head Massage

Indie Head massage is a healing and relaxing treatment focusing on the muscles and soft tissue of the face, scalp, neck, and shoulders.  The treatment begins with soft, soothing techniques to the face, warmed coconut oil blended with Essential Oils is then applied to the hairline and massaged into the scalp.  Gentle hair twisting and pulling techniques are used to softly release fascial restrictions, stimulate the senses and increase circulation.  Indie Head Massage may be enjoyed as its own treatment or combined with Swedish Massage

Aromatherapy Massage

Add the therapeutic benefits of aromatherapy to your massage with essential oils. Essential oils have been used for thousands of years for their healing properties. In this treatment, you may choose an oil or blend of oils to be incorporated into your Massage Therapy treatment. The essential oils will be mixed with a warmed Luxury Blend carrier oil or Fractionated Coconut Oil for safe application of the essential oils.

 

Essential oils may cause a skin irritation for some. If you are new to essential oils or have sensitive skin book a regular massage treatment and we can do a patch test before booking an aromatherapy massage. 

Single Oils:

Lavender- Lavender has a nice floral aroma with calming effects to help promote relaxation, improve sleep and decrease anxiety. It’s pain relieving and anti-inflammatory properties may assist in decreasing muscle and joint pain, headaches and migraines.

 

Eucalyptus- Eucalyptus has a fresh/clean aroma and may help rejuvenate and invigorate the skin; it has a cooling affect to help sooth muscle pain. Peppermint-

 

Peppermint has a fresh/clean aroma and may help relieve muscle and joint pain. Peppermint has a cooling affect and is often used to help relieve headaches and migraine pain. Combine with lavender for additional calming affects and headache relief.

 

 

 

Oil Blends:

 

Deep Blue (Wintergreen, Camphor, Peppermint, Ylang Ylang, Helichrysum, Blue Tansy, German Chamomile, Osmanthus)

Best used on specific treatment areas such as neck and shoulders or low back. Deep Blue has a cooling and comforting affect to help decrease muscle pain.

 

Aroma Touch (Cypress, Peppermint, Marjoram, Basil, Grapefruit, Lavender essential oils)- Calming aroma to help promote relaxation and general wellness.   CAUTION: Avoid sunlight or UV rays for up to 12 hours after application.

The Massage Therapist uses gentle Swedish techniques in a safe and comfortable position for you and your baby to help alleviate the aches and pains associated with pregnancy.  Benefits of Prenatal massage include:

 

  • decrease edema or swelling

  • increase circulation

  • decrease stress, tension, and anxiety

  • improve sleep

  • decrease back and joint pain.
